Where to Watch the Air Show

Free beach viewing is available all along Pensacola Beach, but where you sit changes what you see, how early you must arrive and how hard the exit will be.

The Short Answer

Best spot: Casino Beach, just east of the pier

Sit near the show center, and get there early

In past years the prime viewing area has been the stretch of Casino Beach just east of the Pensacola Beach Fishing Pier, with good views on both sides of the pier. The jets fly well along the island, so spots farther down the beach still see the show. Viewing from the sand is free and needs no ticket.

Tuesday & Wednesday

See a weekly practice

The Blue Angels practice on most Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from their home base at NAS Pensacola, and the public can watch from several free spots around the bay.

Early arrival

Claim sand at dawn

On show Friday and Saturday, people begin claiming spots at first light. Bring a tent or umbrella, water and snacks, and arrive before the Bob Sikes Toll Plaza backs up.
