Two Kinds of Practice
Weekly practices and show-week practice
Tuesdays and Wednesdays at NAS Pensacola
The Blue Angels train at their home base, Naval Air Station Pensacola. Public practice sessions are typically held on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings during the training season. The season is generally described as running from spring into mid-November, but start dates vary by source and year.
Practice at Pensacola Beach
Before the official Saturday show, the team flies practice and rehearsal sessions over Pensacola Beach. In 2025 these included a full practice show on Thursday and a dress rehearsal on Friday. Our schedule page lists the expected 2027 pattern.

Not Sure What To Expect
Practice vs. the real show
Weekly practices are shorter, quieter and easier
You get the Blue Angels without the civilian acts, the traffic or the crowds of show weekend. Expect plenty of parking at most spots. For the full beach experience, plan for the show on Saturday, July 17, 2027. The 2027 practice dates haven't been announced.
